After five successful
swaps, Meagan
is a firm believer in the benefits of barter.
"I think there's a lot of unused stuff in our world and
I love
seeing something go from someone who's just 'meh' about
it to
someone who is really enthusiastic about it," says the
Toronto ESL
teacher and Swapsity member.
Some of Meagan's amazing exchanges include trading a
blank notebook
for a Chinese chess set, perfume for cash and beads for
two soup
pots, which she uses every day. Most recently, she
swapped a set of
stemless burgundy wine glasses for a book on newspaper
design, one
of her favourite swaps so far! Meagan has also given
away free
iCoke points to a fellow Swapsity member.
As a frequent swapper, Meagan has learned a thing or
two about
improving the barter experience.
"Be open-minded to trades that aren't on your wishlist
or swap
list," she says. "If someone has something you like,
send them a
message even if they don't have a need you can meet on
their
wishlist. You never know!"
Right now, Meagan is on the look-out for someone
offering massage
services and says she's always in need of textbooks for
teaching
ESL. Take a look at Meagan's profile and strike up a
