We seek to enable Canadians to live more economically, collaboratively and sustainably by building a vibrant bartering community.

Swapsity endeavours to make barter accessible to more Canadians and create opportunities for the community to grow the swapping ecosystem, online and offline.

We believe that positive changes in human, environmental, social and financial needs can be achieved by growing modern barter.

The Creation of Swapsity

• 99% of stuff in North America is trashed within 6 months of purchase
• We consume 1.5 planets worth of resources

We live in a society of imbalances—owning tons of stuff, accumulating record debt, having less time for community engagement, all while depleting the planet’s resources.

We think there is an increasing need for implementing effective solutions that will revive our budgets, lifestyle, and environmental consciousness, which led us to create Swapsity.

Swapsity was created to facilitate:
