I make hand-crafted cards for friends and family. Each one is unique and specific to that person. I've done birthdays, invitations, remembrance cards, solstice/equinoxes and I can do favourite quotes or sayings. Or I can craft decorative cards that details a word or concept such as "Musician", "Artist", "Gardener", "Magick".
I should learn a little about the (energy of) the person the card is intended for. It is very helpful to know what the person identifies with - ie: do they appreciate visually busy or "messy" vistas, or are they an engineer who's all about straight edges and right angles? Do they appreciate soft tone-on-tone works, or are they a welder who likes chunky textures?
Pricing: The cards are generally priced between $5.00 and $20.00 (depending on the size and materials used). I am open to swapping for items not yet on my wish list, please check it out and let me know if you think you might have something I like, including services. Art supplies are a plus.
Details: For a four-sided card, I can also do a loose "binding" so that the person can choose which face they want showing. I can do a larger one-piece card for simpler concepts or a more standardized two-sided format of one or two pages. My cards are sized from approximately 5" x 7" to 12" x 12". I will incorporate the colours the recipient relate to. I will craft the card to the specified size or shape, within reason.
I do not have a camera, but I will try and get pictures of the cards I've made that are in the hands of friends. I will do this within the next month, so check back for a view of my work, so we can get started!
NOTE: Please keep in mind that although I will incorporate the basics like the size of the card, orientation, shape, themed colours, etc. that this is my Art and it is through the lens of how I interpret it!
