Book-Movie-Music Swap Meet

Looking to update your books, movies and music libraries while taking it easy on the environment and your wallet? The Book-Movie-Music Swap Meet event on August 28th is the perfect opportunity to recycle, de-clutter and get value out of the books, movies and music you're tired with. Bring your unwanted books, CDs and DVDs and have tons of fun swapping with other media lovers. You will be sure to leave with new entertainment gems! While you're there, check out our Garage Sale, same place, same time.

• Time: 10:30am to 12:30pm
   The swapping fun starts at 11:15am.
• What to bring: Books, CDs and DVDs to exchange (3 items recommended)
    You must bring at least 1 item to participate.

How Will It Work?

Bring at least one book, CD or DVD you want to trade. You are more than welcome to bring more! For every item you bring, you will receive one bartering token which will serve as your swap currency to exchange for another item. Since most used books, CDs and DVDs cost about the same, every single item at the Swap Meet will be considered of equal value. All items will be placed on common tables, according to their genre. Be sure to get there early to drop off your items, browse what is available and mingle with other swappers. Doors open at 10:30am and at 11:15am, the swapping fun will commence! If you have brought five items, you will be able to trade them for any other five new books, DVDs or CDs that pique your interest. No purchases, just pure swapping bliss!

If you have any limited edition media, signed items or collectibles that exceed the value of a typical CD or DVD, please contact us.

Guidelines

We have laid out a few simple guidelines to keep the event running smoothly:

1. Bring at least 1 item to swap. It can be a book, DVD, Blu-ray, VHS or a CD.
2. You can bring books, movies and music of any genre. No X-rated or questionable media please. We reserve the right not to accept any books, videos or CDs that we feel are unsuitable.
3. Please bring original media only.
4. The items must be in good condition. Please do not bring CDs or DVD/VHS which skip or do not work. Books should not have loose pages or lack binding.
5. It is better not to bring books that have a high value to you or one-of-a-kind collectibles. Contact us if you want to offer collectibles.
6. No textbooks please.
7. You will be able to take the same number of items that you have brought. Keep in mind that all swaps are final.
8. Please try to drop off all your items by 11:10am at the latest. The swapping frenzy starts at 11:15am!
